He has taught artists from top films FX houses and games firms from all over the world and his DVD's on Autodesk Mudbox can be found at some of the top film FX and Game houses in the world.

His high output, means this site is often vastly out of date on any given day and it is not unusual for him to do a digital sculpture every day. In fact in one 215 day period Wayne did 300 seperate models (not counting ones for clients...only the'relaxation and personal ones').

He is known as well for being fast..... an example of this was a live session in Holland where to created and took to final render a model in 55 mins in front of a standing room only audience. As the author of the incredibley sucessful QuickStart and 'From the Ground Up' tutorial series as well as the owner of the only dedicated Mudbox forum on the planet he is no stranger to controversy. He can be found living in the derwent valley with his wife and 2 children.

Ask any 5 artist's about Wayne Robson and you'll get 5 different opinions..and none of them are the right one. He has worked for Cartoon Netowrk, taught the artists at CCP who make the game 'Eve Online' and gave the 2009 lecture at Siggraph on Autodesk Mudbox amongst other things. He is also often brought into find unique solutions to difficult problems in pipelines at various companies for everything form cinematics to TV and film. Wayne is also one of the designers of the 'iDog' that is a worldwide sucess (If your not familiar with the iDog please feel free to google and youtube search it.)

He started life as an escape artist and still holds a world record that to this day remains unbroken. (So Wayne is no stranger either to 'speed' or 'showmanship'.) So as such comes from a rather different background to most 3D artists. For years he worked as a professional Escape Artist all over the world and won many awards. Due to a bazaar co-incidence of a financial depression here in the UK in the 80's and a long term health problem at the time Wayne moved into different areas. After a while making a living as a session musician and guitar teacher he discovered the wonders of all things art related on a computer.

Wayne is available for selected live events and demonstrations as well as on site training. He has 1 book, 7 DVD's teaching what he does to the industry (one of them a live double DVD) and also hosts on demand video tuiton on MudboxHub.com.

His ‘hobbies' when he actually has time to fit them in, include recording his own songs (5 albums and counting), programming, a rather scary film addiction, drawing monsters for his son and learning new things. He also likes to write about himself in the 3rd person, and has a 'unique' sense of humour that often drives people slowly crazy. He can be found on Twitter here: www.Twitter.com/WayneRobson (just dont expect the meaning of life from his twits) and on youtube here: (www.youtube.com/noggity).
