Brief Bio: I come from a rather different background to most 3D artists. For years I worked as a professional Escape Artist all over the world and won many awards. Due to a bazaar co-incidence of a financial depression here in the UK in the 80's and a long term health problem I moved into different arenas. After a while making a living as a session musician and guitar teacher I discovered the wonders of all things art related on a computer. I taught Photoshop to both beginners and more experienced users and acted as CSS Web coding consultant on a number of large projects. But the limits of the 2D world were not enough for me; it was at this point I discovered 3D! I've never looked back. I'm entirely self taught (which is something increasing rare in this day and age) meaning I haven't ‘absorbed' anyone else's style but my own. My workflow is unique but still fits into any pipeline with ease. My strong point is the ability to produce good work either from concept sketches or ‘freestyle', (in fact most of the images on this site are my freestyle experiments.) I have an ability to work both on my own inititive, and as part of a team, and have a name as one of the fastest high quality 3d artists in the business. My high output (both in quality and sheer volume), means this site is often vastly out of date on any given day and it is not unusual for me to do a digital sculpture every day. In one 215 day period I did 150 seperate models (not counting ones for clients...only the'relaxation and personal ones')
I live with my partner Katrina and son Kane who is 3 and takes up the majority of my free time (Along with another baby on the way early in 2009). My ‘hobbies' when I actually have time to fit them in, include recording my own songs (4 albums and counting), programming, a rather scary film addiction, drawing monsters for my son and learning new things. With a background that is far from that usualy found, I feel I add that special something to any project that will help it to come alive.
